New Look!

November 27th, 2007 by Andy Staple

I’ve made some changes and changed the design of the site. I was looking for a cleaner, more minimalistic approach and believe I got something that I like here.

I’ll be working on moving all my links and modifications to the new theme for a while.

20 days have passed since I installed vBSEO on F-Body Online.

I am very pleased with the results so far, and at 30 days I’ll have a full month to compare to a full month without it. But for now we’ll look at these past 20 days (Aug. 15th – Sep. 4th) and compare them to a full 30 days from Jul. 15th to Aug 14th.

July 15th – August 14th Stats: Full Month

vBSEO Quick Update

September 1st, 2007 by Andy Staple

Heres a quick update on vBSEO:

Sorry, haven’t been up to date lately, but I’ll be catching up with all the tracking soon, my fall semester classes just started this past week and I’ve been moving as well so its been a bit hectic around here.

I will say that I think everyone will be surprised that vBSEO has done everything it has promised to do so far, and when I show you the graphs and analytics for the past 20 or so days.

vBSEO Installed

August 15th, 2007 by Andy Staple

I have just installed vBSEO with the help of Brent Wilson tonight. I’ve had him set up my options to what he thinks is good as he is one of the most knowledgable guys with vBSEO that I know of.

So anyways… this marks the beginning of my vBSEO experience and you’ll be able to follow along with my success (or failure) first hand over the next 12 months. One thing you have to understand with vBSEO is that it is not going to just miraculously make you better in one week, it takes time and effort. So each 2 weeks or so I’ll give a quick rundown of my newest findings on traffic relating to vBSEO on F-Body Online

"What is this forum about?"

August 8th, 2007 by Andy Staple

That is one thing you really don’t want guests to your forum to think, yet I see plenty of forums online that don’t really let you know what they are about on their index. With some sites its obvious with their URL or title, others use graphics or text on the forum index to let you know what their forum is about, but some don’t seem to take guests into consideration.

Text-Link-Ads final update

July 30th, 2007 by Andy Staple

Well, I think I’m finished with Text-Link-Ads. It’s been almost a month, with not even a single whisper of contact from a potential link-buyer. Now I know this could be because my site is still very small in comparison to the rest of the web but one of TLA’s selling points was they “competitively” priced your links. Guess it wasn’t competitive enough in my niche because I got zip out of it. No loss really, as the signup was free. (more…)

Paid Posting, Is it for you?

July 27th, 2007 by Andy Staple

First off, If you aren’t sure what “Paid Posting” is, it is basically the concept that you “hire” or pay someone(s) to create threads and/or posts on your site. Usually it is done without regular members knowing that these users are paid to post and its usually good to keep it that way because they may feel a bit “cheated” or upset that you are paying others to post, or even that these other people don’t really want to be on your forum and that they’re there just for the cash.

My personal opinion on Paid Posting is that I don’t use it, and don’t plan on ever starting but I do see its positives as well. (more…)
