This was a fun site to design. We wanted to keep it simple, easy to read, and have a clean, professional, yet charming look to it. I took some design cues from wedding and event invitations and other classic print designs. The colors were chosen because brown is often underused in design, and can actually be quite elegant when used properly. The green accents the dark brown well and helps to give just a bit of flair to the simple design without sending it too far out in the color wheel.

Project Description: Re-designing the site for Staple’s Karate Studio was a very fun project. We’re looking to make something that is simple, easy to navigate and get the required information about the business, and potentially sign up for Martial Arts classes. Subtle oriental design elements fit in with the Martial Arts business itself.

Client:Hopped Up Beer

Project Description: Hopped Up Beer is a social networking site for Craft Beer enthusiasts and brewers. Built with Buddypress and a custom design that is currently in beta.

Client: Fantasy Race Team

Project Description: This design was created for Fantasy Race Team. It is a new type of Fantasy NASCAR and Auto Racing game that has each user control a team of drivers throughout an entire Racing Season. This is a Work In Progess and in Beta Testing for the 2010 Racing Season. This is a custom built PHP script as well as site that will be launching for the Second Half of the 2010 Nascar Series. There are also plans to make it for other racing series as well in the near future.

Project Description: TorqNetwork is a new media forum and social website network that houses some of Andy’s Communities. The simplistic design is a work in progress during free time.

Client: T.C. Briggs Contracting & Supply Inc.

Project Description: T.C. Briggs Contracting & Supply needed a simple, easy to use, and attractive website that would work with all browsers. We added a jQuery slider to help display some of T.C. Briggs work from start to finish on each job site.

Client: Walt Disney Boards (WDB Network)

Project Description: Walt Disney Boards came to us after doing business with us before, looking for a new design for their website which would be run by wordpress, and their forum run by vBulletin. WDB wanted a light and open design, which is not the norm in disney news and forum sites but it definitely paid off as the design is definitely a compliment to their great site.

Project Description: Staples Karate Studios is a premiere Martial Arts Studio in Rome, NY. The layout is simple and effective for the business with pages, and a blog area on the homepage to keep students and visitors updated on the latest happenings at the Studio. This is currently a work in progress but the main layout and functions of the site have been completed.

Project Description: SportsOutlaw requested a simple and professional wordpress design that would showcase them up against the mainstream media outlets fantasy sites. To accomplish this, I used whitespace and simple design cues to not distract from the main reason people are on the site; content.
